the JLDG Shop on Etsy

Go to my pottery shop on Etsy - theJLDGShop Early in my art career,  ceramics was my primary interest. However, it fell by the wayside when I had no kiln or studio.  Now with space and a kiln, I am able to create items. It is an exciting new chapter for me!

Academic Research Posters

It can be a stressful exercise to create a great looking poster, in addition to preparing for an important presentation. Posters can be designed according to the guidelines indicated by their program.I can help you alleviate the stress of this, while you can concentrate on your research, data and presentation.

Roseau Trail Map
Silverpoint

Silverpoint is a medium where a silver wire is used like a pencil to create a drawing. The medium pre-dates the graphite pencil. The works produced with silverpoint do not lend well to being reproduced because of the lack of contrast. Check out original pieces that are for sale (soon to come).

Digital Art

Digital art is one of the most important developments in graphic design.

The MN Century Program Logo
Logo Design
A business BRAND

A logo is one of the first things that defines a brand. It gives customers a sense of style that when they see the logo, they recognize that they are in the right place. This logo was designed for a small crotcheting shop in Germany.

Roseau Trail Map
Roseau City Parks and Trails

Roseau is a city in northern Minnesota. It lies along the Roseau River that flows north and northwest into Canada. The trails in the vicinity of the park are quite remarkable for a city of this size. Birding opportunities abound! The trails are multiple-use, and include walking, biking, and motorsports. Two interpretive signs are located in City Park and Downtown Roseau. The maps were drawn with colored pencil and watercolor; then digitally enhanced. The layout was created in Illustrator and the final product is a fiberglass embedded panel placed in a vertical arched top metal kiosk.

Photography

Photography of animals and plants and landscapes are usually my subjects. Many of the photos I use in the interpretive signs I create.

The MN Century Program Logo
The Century Program
Advancing Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, and Trades and Industry in Northern Minnesota

The Century Program is the result of a grant that was awarded to 38 northwestern Minnesota school districts. The funding has been used to purchase 38 CNC routers, laptops, and training in computer-aided drafting and design software. This website is a WordPress site that is designed to share information about The Century Program and highlight student projects. The project is ongoing. I designed the logo, designed the site structure and layout, and maintain the site.
